This is the first time that I have read anything from Francine Rivers. Our ladies' group at church chose to read this as a group book study.FYI - this book is a collection of 5 stories of women in the lineage of Jesus. Each novella focuses on one of those 5 women.I really wasn't excited about the book and knew nothing of the author. However, I wanted to be supportive of the effort, so I started on the first section. Francine clearly states that she has fictionalized some of the details, but she is true to the Scriptures on the big stuff. The story of Tamar was interesting and really gave the mindset of women living in those times. Now that was truly an eye-opener! The author caught my attention with that aspect. I had never really thought about it that way.The following novellas on Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary captured my imagination as I thought about how they were viewed and how they relied on God. Overall, I highly recommend this book. While I know the stories from the Bible, Francine Rivers really put skin and bone on them.

I read it as different stories within one book, however, you can read each story as a separate novella if you would like. It was gripping and interesting that I wanted to read them back to back in one book rather than continually going back to purchase each individual novella. I am going to post the five stories separately.Each novella chronicles an account of five women in the Bible and their struggles they face. Rivers retells history beautifully that you truly remember these women as real people with tangible problems. Although these women lived in a time we can’t begin to understand their circumstances, their legacies are told in such a way that you begin to understand who they are and why they are important.The figures are ordinary, but are paramount to the lineage of Jesus Christ. Yes, they are all ascendants of Jesus, hence the term “lineage” in the title. This is the best book I've ever read. It's a close race with another of Francine Rivers' book (Redeeming Love). It was such a blessing to read. Since it's 5 different stories that put you in a realistic view of how these women lived and how God used them to change history, it's easy to read.I love this book so much, I now buy a copy and include it in gifts to other ladies that are in situations where reading helps pass the time (hospital stays, caregivers, etc.).

I originally purchased Lineage of Grace because of my study of Rahab and her tremendous faith which is listed as significant as that of Abraham in the New Testament. My past makes it difficult for me to find my place as a woman in my relatively new faith in Christ – about three and a half years. Finding and understanding the lives of women of the Bible is challenging. But it is critically important for me in my circumstances.Lineage of Grace presents five women who also experienced difficulty in finding their place as woman of faith. In different ways, each adapts her circumstances as she is able within her culture to develop her own special relationship with God. Admittedly fictionalized, these accounts are well researched and offer a plausible explanation for actions the modern Bible reader cannot understand without further clarification of the lives of biblical women within their cultural context. The examples of these five women you have shared helped make the personal transformation we each find through Christ more meaningful.

This was a totally entertaining book that includes opportunity for spiritual enlightenment. It combines fictional information with scripture stories about women who were very important characters in the lineage of Jesus. Sometimes it is difficult to recognize that the fiction story is not necessarily the scripture story. I would have given at least one more star if not for the confusion of the study guide. I have used the study guide in the back of the chapters with a (Bible study group) but found them to be a little frustrating because the guides do not always coincide with the chapters read in the book. The author makes a memorable point about the family history of Jesus and the grace of God.

It was a really well written book! I adored the first four stories- but was not so taken with the story of Mary. A very protestant view on Mary and the Resurrection - especially in the conclusion. I also felt Mary and Joseph's characters were not fully developed as they should be and that certain elements of Jewish traditions,Jewish Messianism and the prayers could have been more historically and factually based. For example the "Jehovah's" in Ruth's story etc would more likely be Hashem or Adonai in the Jewish tradition. The other books were incredibly well-written- especially Rahab's story. I would give it a four out of five because I was quite taken with the first four books and the character development of these strong women but not as much with the last piece.

Incomplete information. This book was not worth my money.

I liked the test questions about security but the watch guard test had many questions that pertained to being a watch guard owner that the book I purchased did not. That caused me a lot of trouble trying to pass the exam so I need to take the exam over again. The book should of covered questions pertaining to a watch guard owner and it did not.

We were admittedly already fans of Joey and Rory, so when this book came out it was automatic that we would buy it. The book is incredibly cute with excellent illustration. A little tear jerking seeing the family photo on the dresser on one of the pages (Google Joey Feek) but just an absolutely fun and wonderful story that the kids loved and I look forward to reading night after night. Keep them coming Rory!

Children who have dutifully heard and learned to repeat all the standard farm animal sounds will enjoy this mixed up book where everyone wants to be someone else. Spare, flowing text and lighthearted illustrations make this a great one on one book or story time read. It's simple enough for beginning readers to tackle on their own but too much fun not share. At the library where I work I will definitely point this book out to the little boy who loves everything to do with farming. But anyone can enjoy this gentle, comic picture book.

Just received this today and absolutely LOVED it!! I’m raising my daughters in the country with farm animals so I hoped I would enjoy it; however, I mainly bought it to show support for the author. I read it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how cute and clever it was... by far my favorite children’s book to read at the moment!

My 4 year old absolutely loves this book!!! If your child is still learning animal sounds you may want to hold off on this book until they are a little older! Fun, silly book where animals make sounds of other farm animals.

Cutest book ever!!!I ordered the board book version and it’s very high quality (padded cover-not your usual cardboard). Very adorable story with pretty pictures. It will stay on mama’s shelf so the littles don’t destroy it. We love it so much!

One of the best books out there on the subject of angels and the occult. It holds a wide view instead of the common narrow in the case of Angels and spirits in general I highly recommend it for those who choose the study. She also has a great book on Spirits with a wide angle of knowledge on the paranormal and spirits.

I love this book. Forget everything you think you know about Angels and pick this up. It is one of my most treasured books and if it isn't resting in my lap it's on my coffee table or bed-side stand.

In general. I am satisfied with the book and rich history of Angels wide Range of folklore get me interested in wide range characters in jewish and Christianity too.Bible characters too. Step aside from witches get insight in Angelic history get me hook.

This has become one of my 'go-to' books when working with the lesser known angels, and other personalities or celebrities from the historical religious and occult world. Well researched and wonderfully written, this is a must have book for anyone who is on an angelic journey, and one that I am so thankful that I purchased.

I now have to purchase the hard cover book. I purchased the kindle version. Unfortunately, that version is not easily researched. Nonetheless, Ms. Guiley is amazing in everything she does. I not only enjoy reading her work but especially like listening to her appearances on Coast-to-Coast-AM and other radio programs.

My brother loves researching mythology, history, and basically anything that an encyclopedia is useful for. He was particular about the style of book, and I spent a while choosing the right one. It covers a good amount of material and has nice images to go with it. I haven't looked through it much, but he loves it, so I recommend it for anyone interested in detailed angelogrophy.

This book is great for reference on the subject of angels. This is especially interesting to me as an artist and writer. I would recommend it for anyone's library.

The latest edition has colour illustrations, so the 9 panel plots now look similar to the lab generated reports: it makes going over the example cases much more straightforward and useful. My book had many of the pages still stuck to one another at the base of the book, so be careful in separating them.

In my lab this is the Bible for testing and interpretation.

For all the followers of Elisa Lorello’s writing and newcomers to her work, you’re in for a real treat. Big Skye Littleton is one of Elisa’s best. Just make sure you don't have plans. Once you start, you won't be able to put it down.

Oh my gosh, the main character is so annoying! She's always feeling sorry for herself and is never happy.She's concerned about how her hair looks because her roots are showing, but won't spend a few bucks on a bottle of hair color, even though she has three jobs. Major eye roll! I found this book rather depressing. The only characters I liked were the cat, dog and Harvey.

I wasn't sure when I started Big Skye Littleton if I would like the book.Well I didn't like it, I loved it! I love Skye's character development throughout the novel. She learns who she is, finds her inner strength, and learns to love herself for who she is.I loved this book and recommend anyone who ever has had self-esteem issues read it. It's great!This is my first time reading anything by Elisa Lorello and I'm looking forward to reading more of her great books!

Elisa Lorello is becoming my Stephen King of the love story. Her characters quickly draw me in and the desire to know what's going to happen to them keeps me reading. Much like every King novel I get my hands on, Elisa Lorello's books don't last long, because I find them hard to put down. Big Skye Littleton is no exception. I highly recommend it to other 40-something, single, hopeful(not hopeless) romantics.

It was a cute story but why the author felt Skye needed to use the F word, I will never know.. Nothing wrong with the writing and the story, although a bit predictable, was enjoyable....ca

I won a copy of this book on my kindle in a goodreads giveaway. I feel like I really needed this book in my life right now. I honestly don't know what else to say about it except I really needed it.

I've done a lot of reading this summer and this, by far, is my favorite! I loved every minute and word of this book and have been telling everyone who would listen to read it!

This version is annotated by Richard Beeman, a genuine, non-ideological constitutional scholar. It is NOT the right wing/Skousen/LDS version described in many of the critical comments. For some reason, Amazon has applied the same set of comments to multiple versions of the Constitution, which makes it virtually impossible to determine which ones are worth buying - and reading.This version is well worth buying and reading, and reading again. In addition to the text of the original documents, it offers excellent historical context including a discussion of how the various articles and amendments have been interpreted by courts (not ideologues) through the years. It's a very valuable resource.UPDATE: In a comment to this review, RedRocks explains that if you try to order the paperback version of this Penguin guide, you'll actually get the Skousen/LDS version instead. (My brother confirmed this.) Kindle orders get the correct Penguin version. Amazon needs to correct this - RedRocks has complained about it before but Amazon has done nothing.

This reprint of the US Constitution is very well edited and annotated. The full original text is reproduced as written. There are no editorial comments or discussions. Original text that has been amended is enclosed in brackets, with a footnote to reference the amendment. The preamble to the Bill of Rights and the full text of all 27 amendments are included. The full text of the Declaration of Independence is included. The dimensions (3.25" x 6.5") make this a true "pocket guide". I recommend buying multiple copies of this pamphlet to give to family and friends, as I have done. Every American should be intimately familiar with these documents.Apparently, Amazon lumps together the reviews written for various print versions of the US Constitution. All print versions are not equal and many of the Amazon reviews do not apply to the print version I reviewed. The print version I reviewed has a painting of George Washington, quill pen in hand, on the front cover. It is copyrighted by the National Center for Constitutional Studies. Accept no substitutes.

This booklet (blue, with an eagle on the front, 6" x 9", 32 pages, with the author of "Founding Fathers"), claims to include "the US Constitution, including the Bill of Rights" - but it does NOT include the Bill of Rights!The Bill of Rights adds the extremely important amendments that protect freedom of religion, speech, gun rights, etc.. I was stunned when I realized it was missing. Very disappointing!

Having just quickly perused all 44 pages of this USA e-book, just want to point out that this version of The United States Constitution is not annotated. It does have an excellent live index, very useful.

Amazon has the unfortunate practice of lumping reviews for several different editions together. The kindle edition I got did not have the "disclaimer" that several people objected to (I'm a liberal, but that would have annoyed me too.) It just started out with the table of contents and the the familiar Preamble.

Every American should own (and Read) this book. It was written for Us! Very highly recommend.

Large font easy to read. No Skousen nut case seditionist commentary. Just as it was written by the founders.
