This is NOT a walkthrough or hint guide. This guide is 41 pages of useless info. It covers how to install the game, creating a character and what to when you level-up. All stuff you can easily figure out in the first couple minutes playing the game. All of this stuff is already covered by the in-game tutorials. There are no map, hints or walkthrough. It is too much hastle to return a $15.00 purchace. I will just throw this away.Buyer Beware.PS: there is no way to give a zero star rating. Please do not misread my one star as any sort of approval.

As reviewed by Knuckle Martin, this is a expensive fire starter. Unless you are comleatley unaware of how to download games from the internet, this is a waste of money. The first 20 pages of this 41 page "guide" is how to download the game for different platforms... This also is a black and white only guide, that looks like it was printed in 1998, seriously it's that grainy.Also the table of contents doesn't match the page numbers near the end of the book. I guess they were too busy beating an actual strategy guide to print to notice.My advice save your money or set fire to $15.00. Either is better then buying this guide.

I really wish I would've read the customer reviews before buying this. There is literally nothing useful in this guidebook. It is not a strategy or tip guide at all. Do not waste your money like I did.

Normally I would have ordered this from Amazon at the time I ordered it was out of stock and I wish it was out of stock everywhere so I could not have ordered this over priced 15$ with shipping at the time but still over priced if it was free this waste of paper included information that would in the little guide book that used to be included with most video games however the little guide book normally had some nice art and the basic game instructions this genuine waste of paper included information on how to install this on your system's trouble is if you have to get a guide on how to do such a simple task you won't get far on this game without a more comprehensive guide than this one most of the information in this guide is given in simple in game tutorials within the 1st hour the only reason this guide managed to sell more than one copy is because no official guide book is available in any language other than Japanese the funniest thing about this flimsy magazine (lets not lie like the company that made it and try to call it a book) is they bothered to copyright it as if anyone would plagiarize this garbage on a positive note they made the font size on these coloring book style sheets of paper large enough for a person with poor eye sight to read in an attempt to fill the pages I would not recommend this book as even a terrible gag gift I'm too irritated to even try to return the so I will use it to start the next fire in our woodstove this cold winter night.

The people that made this need to learn the difference between an owners manual and a strategy guide . Do not buy this , another company is going to release a real guide when the switch version of the game is released .

Vee'e expertise as a rhetorician also provides a brilliant, and extremely clear, rundown of previous approaches to defining code as a mode of discourse. Vee is able to show how previous efforts to define code [e.g. through its executability in the tradition of J.L. Austin's concept of performativity], fall short in this or that way. As a non-coder/programmer, this section was essential because because it introduced me to the existing literature in the field, and held it up to contemporary work in rhetoric *and* code providing what I feel remains, after reading several books on the subject, the most convincing definition of code as a mode of discourse. In other words, Vee's *rhetorical* approach to defining code is the best on its own, and it provides a way to link it to traditional ways of reading and writing that allows us to comparatively examine code according to that established discourse. My interest in this is for the interpretation of traditional and coded poetics, but the potential range of applications are far broader.

We read this for my graduate seminar in digital rhetoric, and I learned a lot about the history of computing and the gendered issues surrounding it. Putting coding stuff into literacy terms was really helpful for us, since in my department we only recently got someone doing digital rhetoric and none of us are at all trained in the technical side of things

I purchased the 21st Edition of Upgrading and Repairing PCs, based upon reviews of previous editions of the book. I have built a few desktop PCs (reading other books and materials online to do so) and have replaced internal parts including memory, hard drives, video and sound cards, over the past 12 years. I consider myself an advanced intermediate in terms of upgrading and repairing PCs, with a desire to learn more.Getting a book with the latest information on this subject was important to me. This 21st edition, is the first I've seen from this author, is impressive and fit my needs perfectly!Who should buy this book?I think this book would be useful to anyone from a beginner to a strong intermediate PC user who is interested in building and repairing PCs.Those preparing to take specific IT related tests like the A+ Certification Exam, would also find it helpful and undoubtedly it is or will be used as a textbook for either high school or college students.What is included?You get this comprehensive hardbound book along with 45 days of FREE online access to the online edition of this book (code at back of the book) and a 2 hour DVD in which the author shows the components of a PC build and how they go together. His hands on approach is easy to understand and pleasant to watch.What will I learn with this book?Twenty chapters cover everything from the Development of the PC to PC Diagnostics, Testing and Maintenance. Networking, hardware types and functions, and building and upgrading systems are also covered.Basically anything hardware related - not software - for PCs is comprehensively covered by this 1000+ page book.Is it overly technical?Some parts of the book, by the nature of the subject, are technical. The author, Scott Mueller, does his best (and succeeds) at writing clear, concise technical information without making it overly boring - which is tough!Unlike some other books I've seen on this subject, I could pick it up and read a bit - absorbing the info - and not have to go back over it to try and understand what I'd just read. Something those who are new to PC upgrading and repair will appreciate.The book also has clear diagrams regarding each subject, cautions and tips which are all very helpful.Why this book over all the others?There are very few books on the subject of upgrading and repairing PCs that are not either too simplified like Upgrading and Fixing Computers Do-it-Yourself For Dummies or too technical and frankly only good for those who are intermediate to advanced PC users who are unafraid of a challenge.This book is useful to a spectrum of users from beginner to advanced, and sets the bar for what other writers should aspire to create with their technical writing.The book can be read from start to finish, or used as a handy reference. The DVD is a nice supplement to the book, but not a regurgitation of all that is in the book.You won't be wasting your money on this one - I highly recommend it!

I've been buying these books for years now ever since the 18th edition. I am an IT professional and I give these books an Scott Mueller every bit of credit for the knowledge I have in the field. I strongly recommend watching the DVD's that come with the books as they are very informative and give you a lot of practical knowledge from experience.

At first I was put off by the density of technical detail in Mueller's book, but as I began to read individual chapters, I grew to appreciate that this is an extremely useful, well written and interesting text on PC hardware. I bought this book as a companion to "Guide to Managing and Maintaining Your PC" by Andrews which was a textbook required for my A+ certification class. Both are 1000+ page books: Andrews' is an expensive carefully constructed textbook with glossy pages, lots of illustrations, exercises, projects. It covers both hardware and software. Mueller's book, is devoted strictly to hardware, and here's my comments:1. Historical Information: Mueller gives complete history of each of the components of a PC, such as the evolution of the processor or disk drives.2. Technical Reference: This book has dozens and dozens of comprehensive tables that deliniates the details of each successive release/update/upgrade/replacement for each component and sub-components of the PC, such as BIOS or diskdrive technology or whatever. Detailed and useful information is provided.3. Hardware: As mentioned above, this book is only for hardware, look elsewhere if you want to learn about operating systems, programs, etc...4. Troubleshooting: Not a whole lot about troubleshooting...though there are some useful items. Andrew's book has a couple of chapters of troubleshooting. It's hard to teach trouble-shooting. Mueller's approach, I would state, is that if you have a really good understanding of how the PC works, you're in a much better shape to understand how to fix it.5. Quality writing: this is one of the best written reference works I've ever encountered. So once I got over my reluctance to dig in, and actually started reading, I was very pleased at how well the information is presented. At first I just jumped into a few topics that were of interest. But once I got going, I realized that I would enjoy reading the whole story from the beginning, which I'm now doing. This is not an afternoon's project, but as technical reading goes, this is one of the best.

First, the physical book has a hard cover, quality paper, clear crisp font. I like the 'contents at a glance' along with a detailed contents section. The index seems complete and accurate. Each page has the section description, chapter # at the top, and page # bold/lager font. The book is loaded with useful tables and figures. Many of the tables have expansion of acronyms for quick reminder. Throughout the book are pointers to locations that expand on a specific topic.Second, the contents are in depth, up to date (as best can be done), and easy to understand.I have a vintage 2000 Dell desktop system. I planned to use the power supply unit and case for a new build. Thanks to this book, I discovered that the PSU is non-standard and not recommended for upgrade.If you are interested in upgrading or repairing your PC, get this book. You won't be disappointed.
